There may be smart liberals out there, but they don't put their intellect to work. It's all touchy-feely, hug a tree, save the whales, global warming talk. They know nothing about solving the real hard problems of creating world peace, getting involved with the world community, cutting off inflation, recessions, and the like. Just because liberals think they are intellectually superior doesn't seem to prove they are "street smart" in worldly matters. After all, they always seem to try to answer a conservative's question by attacking them and yelling profanities.

Most liberals aren't smart and intellectual.
I don't know which one's worse, a pro-socialist movement,
or the back-asswards conservative movement we have being
propelled by quite a minority of the population.
Oh, and liberal/conservative have nothing to do with it.
It's all about money, and who's already in power.
Mr. Bush didn't get to where he is now by merit alone.
Neither did Clinton.
They all played the game, and won.
I'll just finish with saying this :
Bush and Kerry came from the same background,
Bush just happened to be in the right party at the right time.

Some liberals (not all by any means) like to feel superior to others. It's why they say America has been dumbed down or that they are intellectuals. It's also why they're Anti-American. "I would have done that so much better. I don't know how but I would have". It's intellectually vapid, but it seems to make them feel superior somehow. Sadly, this is sometimes taught in univeristies.

I don't believe the american public is particularly interested in picking a smart leader. After all, every time there's a smart candidate, he gets smeared as being an "intellectual," as if that's an insult.

They are not in power because the MAJOR problem with liberals is that they are NOT (liberal). They continue to advocate big government, higher taxes, failed programs, and tried and worn out ideas. The fact is they haven't had a new idea in a generation. Ted Kennedy and his cronies have always coveted power, but their ideas continue to insult the American people, and they remain OUT of power!!

Genius, back to you - Why weren't the Nazi's internal opponents in power? Or the Soviet's? Or North Korea's? Or Syria's? Or Venezuela's? Cuba's?

In order to be elected to power you must have strong convictions for things other than yourself. A liberal politician who believes he/she is the light for such a troubled world only has conviction for themselves. Talking a great game never beats playing one.
