Should Beauty Contests Be Banned

2016-11-03 00:25:14 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

BAN is never the Solution, it is only another Problem.

Why should Beauty Contests be Banned ?

Is it because Women take up more confidence in projecting themselves in Public Domain ?
Is it because Women get more outspoken ?

Or Is it for there is a potential Vulgarity ?
Is it for there is a potential excesses ?

Identify the problem and sort them out. Since this under Beauty & Style and not in ethical section, I think the Answer is NO

Depends. Some of them are nothing but women trying to be more beautiful than the other women. But some of them are legitimate contests with a purpose, like a scholarship.

While I believe that the scholarships programs are good healthy ways for women to compete, the traditional beauty pageants with no talent, run-of-the-mill questions that practically come with their own answers, and bikini's and heels can make or break you, aren't helping with the way women are thought about in this world. I don't know that we should ban them, all that would do is outrage all the aspiring winners and their anxious mothers.

I think the worst beauty pageants are the ones for young girls. We don't need 10 and under parading on stage in high heels, makeup, and trying to look like a mature woman when they clearly aren't. They are too young to be putting themselves through the emotional roller coaster that they go through. I believe that girls at that age are only there because of their less than intelligent mothers who couldn't hack it when they were young, and now they are trying to accomplish their dreams with their daughters. In short, they are living vicariously through their daughters. (Same goes for mothers who put their child in modeling.)

Mainly, I think that anyone who competes should be doing it of their own free will, not becuase their mother put them there. I think that little girl pageants are teaching the children that beauty is more important than brains. And I think that if we are going to have pageants, why can't we have less superficial standards to meet? Miss Americia is on the right track, but Miss USA is far behind.

Think please:
-How can you determine the beauty of the heart?
-No, its not necessary for contests.
-Every wise wife, loving mother and challenging woman is a real beauty queen and not those who reveal parts of the body.

No. I want to be a beauty queen or pageant winner or something some day. I just want one crown and I'm retiring.

No they bring joy to those who win. But otherwise yes, because they make others jealous and moreover the winner thinks they are superior.

It depends on a lot of factors.
If its fun and realistic then no.
but only as long as it's using real people. not anorexic people.
and children should never ever be forced to do it
