Why is someone who questions authourity if they are in the right seen as dangerous?
Example Dell computers...
They sell based on a reputation or reliability
You should be employed as you know your stuff or as a trainee learning your stuff.
What use is it if the boss won't listen to you as considers you beneath them?
Its like a fool boss who refuses to listen to the cleaner saying not to mix industrial bleach and an acid based cleaner resutling in possible death from chlorine gas releasing.
Or how about the hundreds killed say when a boat gets sent out to see despite the engineer saying its not safe yet?
Like a disaster is good for business.
or how about Dell. If the techs & geeky wizz kids are not taken seriouly & the bosses expect yes men then you can get things like laptops catching fire which costs millions.
So then why not always employ those who point out faults & would complain about what was wrong with their last company providing they backed it up.

People should be employed to do the job and keen mavericks who speak their mind are best. They are showing passion for the job and doing it right not playing suck up.
And the job of a leader is to employ those good at the job who get it done well.
Better arguments and in the end the right thing done then peacfully setting up a disaster

I have more respect for authourity that admits it does not know or messes up to fix the problem or get in those who can...
Thats their job, to fix problems even if it means asking for help

cos they are too proud: you highlight a fault in their work and they react with anger - nothing personal you are just a threat.
They are not thankful of your criticism, but really they should be...

Its all about ego and power some people with authority do not deserve those jobs. When someone younger and smarter comes along and tries to tell them anything they will not listen for fear someone higher will find out this young guy knows more then they do. This is a part of life and you just need to understand that in this world you will meet people like this and be above them and just move on.

You answered the question as soon as you said "Dell". They have no idea what they're doing, sell overpriced, cr*p computers (that blow up) and have a management structure notorious for its high turnover of staff. Get a new job.

Seen as dangerous by whom? Authority? Naturally.
It's rare, but authority that questions itself is seen to be weak (by outsiders) even though it is an inherently strong trait for growth of a business.

risk takers, that's the folk that will always speak out and challenge are easy targets when it comes to passing the buck, trying to downsize; people in authority do not like to be questioned.. I think challenging can be good, it's how you go about doing it..

The 'don't rock the boat mentality' keeps the status quo. You stand out from the conformers!

sounds as if you are always right and anyone in authority is always wrong. What's more, you are talking about employers and not REAL authority. Try joining the military or the govm't.

You are a threat.
You undermine discipline & authority.
You make them feel you are making them look stupid.
You can see through their BS.
You could be a disruptive influence on colleagues.
You are seen as being polically unaware.
