Rubbish
I have 2 houses I rent 1 out, If the tenant cant get a mortgage then she has to rent, so I'm supplying a service.
But I dont agree with holiday homes that are left empty for most of the year in small community's.

This is the most stupidest thing I have ever heard. How can someone owning more than one home cause homelessness when you have to be able to afford a home in the first place. What causes homelessness in the US is the government so worried about what is going on in the Middle East and sticking there nose over there and not helping the people of this country. With better education and keeping down our deficit so there will be more social security for the elderly... and more money to put back in to the country that we can help the people that are starving on the our own streets..

Not at all. If you can afford to own two houses then go for it, that is absolutely your right. People aren't homeless because the country has run out of houses due to people buying more than one, that's ridiculous!
Some people don't want something impersonal like a hotel, but prefer a holiday home, and good luck to them.

what a BS. I have 4 houses and i use all of them myself. I do not intend of renting, because it's too much of a liability. And I like to use them when i can. And totally honest, which homeless wants a cabin in the mountains, where you need a damn SUV just to get to, a Lake house where you need a damn boat to get to, or a farm house in the middle of no where, where the next store is 6 miles away??? Unless somebody is supplying a car and gas money for a homeless, why do my houses create homelessness???

firstly that's not true. some people buy homes to rent out, most homeless people i have worked with are homeless for a variety of reasons, none due to second home owners.. the debate of Holiday homes pushing up house prices is a different debate.
Homelessness can be caused through poverty, drugs all sorts of things. Many rough sleepers do not want the responsibly of home owning, just a place to stay.. lack of affordable homes, council accommodation, YMCA's, hostel's are more to the point..

I don't think they do create homelessness. Often people who own more tha one house do so to rent the houses they don't live in. This creates housing for people who are unable to afford or unable to apply for a mortgage.
People don't like to live in hotels because it is an impersonal and inconstant environment and often space is very limited.

It's called investing. Another way for people to bring in money. Buy more then one house and rent them out. The homeless people are homeless because they don't have a job, they have no education concerning money and how to utilize it to the fullest. They are homeless by choice. They would prefer to drink and smoke away their money then take care of themselves

That's not true at all. If you are homeless then you can't afford to buy a house so there really is nothing to discuss!

I own three houses, I live in one and rent out the other two so i'm taking people off the streets not putting them on the streets
If your refering to all the empty houses then i agree they are bought just to make money and not supply housing.
