What do you do when you can't sleep? and Y!A team removed it. Why? there was nothing offensive or obscene about that question. i think the Y!A team needs to have their heads examined for developing such a retarded and inefficient way of checking questions.

I haven't figured out yet just *how* they are determining what questions/answers they are removing. There's nothing wrong with that question & quite a bit right. Many people have difficulty with sleep. Yet even now, I scroll through question after question that I don't even need to open because the subject is either offensive, or plain rude.
I don't know if they truly take into account the 'report abuse', or the 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' buttons, but they clearly need to find another way of dealing with the site. Whatever they are doing, it doesn't seem to be working well.

Y! Answer team is not the one who sends you the violations and other such e-mails. All it takes is for me to send a report and their server will automatically send you a violation notice.

I agree with you on that. Alot of really good and interesting questions get deleted. I don't see why yahoo does stuff like that, but they are making this site worse.

yesterday i asked the question " up or down ???? " and i to god a violation for it. i think the reason our questions get violated so much is simply because yahoo have contracted this job out to some third world country where they dont understand english and they randomly select questions to send violation notices to

nazi's in the yahoo answers forum decide what is offensive each day then they complain to the Yahoo answers staff until changes are made.

I think that they may just remove any question someone complains about and then u have to appeal that decision to get it reinstated.
