In terms of runs scored then there is no question about who is the best batsman in the world coz obviously it is Sachin who has scored most runs in both form of cricket.

But Dhoni is a better match winning player then sachin do @least if you look @ the statistics provided by cricinfo then it clearly demonstrate that about only 12 hundreds of sachin are winning ones and i guess 3 of those against minority teams therefore dhoni is bit more match winning player then Sachin in ODI but still he(Dhoni) didnt prove him self in the test cricket.

But of course i do think this question is far early to ask and i do aware and have noticed that it is a obvious in indian cricket that stars reach to peak once they hit consecutive 50's or 100's which brings them star status but then they desperately fails in the important games.

i think nor sachin and nor dhoni,rahul dravid is best batsman.
i think he used to make runs when runs are not coming easily
for men in blue.he used to make runs at the time when condition
favours bowler more than batsman.i think rahul dravid make runs as per the condition,he stabilises the team more than sachin
and dhoni,absense of dhoni or sachin doesn't affect much
on team because team can get many like sachin or dhoni,
but we can't get player's like rahul dravid easily
