How can we help you manage your cycle?
-You're likely to say crazy/illogical/hurtful things during you cycle that you otherwise wouldn't, but you don't want to be invalidated during your cycle.
-You often aren't totally forthright about how bad your cycle is, how long it is, or how predictable it is.
-We feel great compassion for you, but you aren't willing to communicate with us about this subject.

I will expect few real answers to my questions. I guess that's what often happens with syndromes.

I must take back my presumption that I wouldn't get many real answers. I sure did....and I thank you. This question is, for me, resolved.

Just be loving and caring during that time of the month. Usually the first day is the worst and then the emotions slack off. Most cycles are pretty predictable. They come about every 25 to 28 days in the month. None are ever the same for any woman. It might last for about 5-7 days. Being a guy, think about how you would feel if you had to have blood coming from you for that amount of time and wear something like a diaper between your legs. It is not comfortable or sexy. Women feel gross and turned off. Sometimes there is an odor that comes along with it. Any other truths that you would like to know. Women are grumpy because they don't like to deal with the monthy cycle.

during the menstrual cycle, hormones are running amuck! We wouldn't be able to tell you how long it lasts as this is something our bodies dictate. Some women suffer much worse than others, perhaps going to a gyn/ob and discussing this might help. I'm sure you know when it's coming, just back off at that time and understand that this is not the woman you fell in love with and "this too shall pass"

Here's a good start---get over the idea that we need a man to help us "manage" our cycle. You are sounding like a condescending jerk. Do you think we should have a rating system on pain, length and predictability for your convenience? Just go with this premise--it hurts like hell, it lasts 7 days and it can happen anytime----that will make things simple for you.

there is nothing that a man can really do during this time but to be senistive to the feelings of your woman. and pleassssssssse do not blame everything on the cycle becuse 50% of the time it is something diiferent..

some women perfer not to be bothered. all women want to here that they are beatiful and they do not look fat in those jeans.

try giving them that comfy shirt and slippers and watch a chic flic with them.

Try to be supportive and try not to be argumentative. She really does know that she is being illogical. And NEVER say just because your on the rag or any other derogatory remark to her during this time because you will start a war. Right ladies!!!!!

I am in one of those war path type menstral modes right now, it is not predictable from month to month, as to how bad it gets but I find my man seems to go through it as well, super grumpy. PMS is usually worse in woman who suffer from blood sugar imbalance, ie crave fatty, sweet starchy foods.. often helps to take steps to reduce blood sugar levels ie eat more nuts, fish, mushrooms, soya and greens...Try acknowledge it together but what EVER you do dont contradict her...

Just try to be really nice to her during that time, and if she says something unkind, don't take it to heart.

Tell her how much you love her and fix her favorite foods sometimes.

Good luck!
