HEHE...GO BULLS...you don't get any of that here in Australia!! There are two South African winkels...but they're far from being SOuth African...really, it doesn't help if they sell Aussie stuff in an SA shop, now does it!! I miss the people the most...the most friendliest, heartwarming people I've ever known!! And we're number three on the list of best tasting water in the world...the tap water here in Aus is sh*t...trust me...I don't think they know how to finish purifying water!! And BILTONG...and all my vriendinne!! Just so much!!

Oh ya, don't forget about 94.7 and when I used to drive to Eastgate with my family...or Menlyn...but most of all...my HIGHSCHOOL!!! Waaaaaaaaaahhhh

Great question!
First of all, I miss the weather. I'm in England by the way. I miss walking into the pub without being looked at. I miss the choice of going to the beach anytime you want to. I miss the Chicken Lickin' I miis the pap, biltong, and our local type of braai's. I miss the opportunity to speak my own language widely. I miss my friends, my family, my relatives and even my 1978 Chevrolet Custom 30 which my grand-dad gave me. I miss the BIG THREE VIBRANT CITIES OF SOUTH AFRICA, Jo'burg, CapeTown and Durban.

Ek mis my familie en vrinne. But most of all the fact that you can get drunk on a few bucks. When I told my friends in Korea that I could buy a six pack of beers 5 or 6 bucks, they wanted to move there.

I also miss sitting in a decent restaurant, like Spur. Where your every need is catered for and you can have a blast for no reason at all. Just because you wanna have lunch or dinner. Oh and I really miss sundowners. When getting off work and all the boys go and have a drink.

I think the SUNDOWNER is what I miss the most.

I agree to all that have been said so far - but why has nobody mentioned MINT CHOC Icecream and Amarula Don Pedros yet??? Can't get that in Germany... Also crunchies (got some survival stock from GB). And I miss being able to pay for a maid here... just can't afford it here! And the MEAT! A proper steak!!!! And all the dogs that run around in the gardens all day and night and don't need to be taken for a walk on a leash 4 times a day... ja ja home, sweet home...

if i should leave (and i'm going to study overseas for a couple of years so i will) south africa i will miss my mother the most of all. with that i will miss friends and family, hearing my own language being spoken, a nice mix of different cultures, the beautiful scenery and beaches... and the feeling of being home (and not a foreigner).

Koeksisters & melktert - never eat the stuff at home but the minute I get on a plane to another country I start craving it.

And Amarula - a glass in the evenings - miss that the most when I am out of SA!

And of course our friendly people!
