Im from chicago, where baseball is also big.
I punch every Yankees fan I see that isn't from new york for being phony. And if they are, I punch them anyway for being a jerk.

I hate the fact that people assume because you live in a certain area, you should support those teams. It is Garbage.
I Live in New Hampshire, Not Massachusetts. THerefore why should I support or be a fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins, etc.
I was born in New York, therefore I am a fan of the Yankees. I do not care for hockey or basketball.
But I happen to be a fan of the Miami Dolphins.
BUt win or lose I will always be a fan of those teams regardless of anyone's unsolicited opinions that I should support New England Teams. GET A LIFE PEOPLE, IT IS A FREE COUNTRY.
IF PEOPLE SPENT MORE TIME WORRYING ABOUT THEMSELVES AND LESS TIME WORRYING ABOUT OTHERS THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE.

Yankee fans are all over, not unlike Notre Dame football and the Dallas Cowboys. Besides that plenty of New Yorkers relocate to New England or make the short drive up. As far as front runners go, you have them for every team in every sport, it is a whole lot easier being interested in a team when it is winning and there is a high level of excitement.

Your wrong there, i don't think you need to live in new york to be a new york fan, and there are alot of fans out there that don't live in new york that know alot about baseball. But there are alot of people that are just new york yankee fans because they win alot of the time, so no frontrunning fans don't drive me nuts, just the yankee team its self

Let me see your giving some hell because they live in a city without a major league team or maybe their father was a Yankee fan, or maybe he even played for the Yankees. You never know. I myself live in Philadelphia and I’m a Phillies and Blue Jays fan. It’s easy to be a fan of a team in your home area but it takes balls to walk down the streets of a city wearing your rival’s jersey. And speaking of front runners I think you may be one, cause it’s easy to be a Patriot fan now that they are good, odd are you we probably one of the millions that stayed away in droves when they were going 1-15.

I'm in Florida and Yankee obsessed. Of course, they are as much ours as they are New Yorks...we don't have anyone else to root for...the Marlins suck, the Devil Rays suck more...the Yanks coming here for their spring training is the baseball highlight for this football state. What qualifies someone to be a fan? I know more Yank stats/ trivia and watch more Yank games than most of the New Yorkers I know.
P.S. You couldn't be more wrong about Yank fans outside of New York being Pats fans...my theory..Pats fans are just BoSox fans in the offseason!

i think that if your a Yankee fan you should live in the city or close to it or at least not be a fan because they always win because they have more money than every one else and they buy talent they don't develop it like the braves or Indians
