My scorpion eats crickets and they are driving me nuts. How do I get them to stop chirping?

i had that problem too, exact same, black emperor scorpion as a pet, noisy big crickets as his food.

first thing you should know is that crickets make that sound with thier wings, not thier legs, so pulling off thier legs won't do anythihng. cept make them crawl around.

as far as the chirping sound, i never really figured how to do that without killing them. but the solution lies in getting them to stop using thier wings. maybe cut thier wings off or something. either that, or just get more smaller crickets without wings.

in any case good luck.

Crickets chirp. Feed scorpion quieter food.

Pull off 1 of their legs. Don't think it will kill them but it will keep them from chirping.

a small drop of super glue to hold their wings to their backs should do the trick, that way , they cant make noise.
