Gillette have just released the Fusion, it has SIX blades! Am I the only one that thinks that this is a money-making scam? How far will it go? 12? 20? 132?

Too right it's a scam!! Now, I wonder how long it will take the rest of the world to figure that out?? If you don't buy it, they'll soon stop making them, people of the world ...

It's simply a matter of marketing.
It would be very simple and inexpensive to create a razor that doesn't need sharpening and lasts almost forever. The problem is that they wouldn't make any money out of that would they?
They'd sell one to everyone who shaves, then once everybody has one, sales would go down to almost nothing.

The same is done with light-bulbs. I was told many years ago that an ever-lasting light bulb has not only been innnvented, it has also been patented. Guess who holds the patent?! A big light-bulb manufacturer. Again, if we didn't need to keep buying bulbs, they'd go out of business.

When you think about it, the same theory applies to many many items. (Cheap cars are often designed to last about ten years, this is so you'll buy another one!?)

Isn't the consumer age wonderful? No wonder we've fu*ked the planet!

Two blades work for me. I cannot use the single blade Bic razors, though, they tear up my skin.
I use the double-blade with aloe strip and pivot head. Works just as well as any other 3 or 4 blade I've used.

I thought that Wilkinson Sword had gone overboard with four blades but I can tell you that the Fusion 5 is fantastic, it grips the skin and is by far the best shave I have ever had.

Send any cheques to the usual address Gilette...

I use a three bladed razor and it works better than a one or two bladed razor. The hair doesn't grow back as quick.
