The reason I am actively seeking a gay man is because I don't want the unwelcome sexual tension if I become friends with a straight guy. And I beleive I have enough gal pals to last me a lifetime.

I already have my Karen/Grace combo - her name is Sherry - best friend I ever had going on 9 years now. But good luck finding yours...because thisis the first 'girlfriend' I ever had and the relationship dynamics are wonderful!

You're "accepting", yes, but you're not a whole lot better than the bashers if you're not looking past someone's sexuality. The fact that you're actively seeking a gay friend means that you're really not looking at the whole person. Go meet guys somewhere who fit the other characteristics provided. maybe some will be gay, maybe they wont. It shouldn't matter.
