The free trial that they do have for Sims 2 PC is the Sim creator module. You can get it here:

Other free stuff but this is different! Free trial for the ONLINE version of the game, called "Sims Online". It is a completely different game with graphics more like Sims 1. After the free trial it costs you a monthly fee to keep your membership.

The Sims 2 for PC is an incredible game. But not all computers can run it. Before breaking your back to get the game -- Do check out your system specs to be sure you actually can play the game. The expansions will need yet more resources:

Nowhere without a .torrent site. If you download it, burn it and use it, it would be piracy and it is forbidden by law since copyrights are applied for the Sims & Sims 2.
Do you ever considered searching Ebay ? I bet you would be able to find one for a low price.

Go to www.bittorrent.com and download the bittorrent client. (and try to read up on it and gain a basic understanding) Then go to www.torrentspy.com and download a Sims torrent or a Sims 2 torrent. Most often these will come with 'cracks' allowing you to play them without the cd.
However, this it IS illegal to use bittorrent to download liscensed material, and its also dangerous, cracks may contain viruses and trojans. Proceed at your own risk.

u can get the SIMS off lime wire easily but THE SIMS 2 isn't possible.trust me i tried it millions of times but i never work or came up right.so you can download the sims off lime wire or any file sharing program but the sims 2 is not possible

u can use bittorrent.com or torrentreactor.com or wareznova.com or fullforum.com... all of these are illegal but hey... there's no sugar...
