Good question but consider this... Take a look at the majority of, say, American cars... usually pretty nice, clean, dent free and less than 5 years old. Now take a look at most 3rd world vehicles... old, rough, dented, rusty and dirty. We get our vehicles fixed when we get a dent (insurance), 3rd world does not.

Personal experience and what I've seen... I would say there are more in developed countries... more cars, more roads, more population... and more people in hurries!

I would think so, since there is no relationship between development level and the likelihood of people doing something really stupid on the road and causing an accident.
Now, seriously, I think that since more people in developed countries own and drive cars, it is more likely to have more accidents in developed countries, simply based on statistics.
