Does anyone have experience with ACER Laptops,How dependable are they? How is there tech support/customert service?

I found one that seems to be a good deal, but I want to make sure before I spend a grand on something that may not be worth it.

I have an Acer laptop, pda and monitor...All three worked flawless since bought, except pda (battery failure after 15 months).

Customer service has been oustanding for the pda : I contacted them, 2 days later, UPS came to pick up the pda and they brought it me back 2 weeks after, repaired and with a new pointer ( the first has a broken tip but was still usable...they replaced it at no charge).

It would give them a A+, quality, value/price & customer service.

Acer are grand, they would prob be in the top 5. Others here would disagree but I have had no problems with ones I issued.

The Tesco £299 ONE IS GOOD BUT you only get 256mb memory this is a little low, you can get extra memory on e-bay
