Yep. I am going through the same thing. I am trying to read books- self help books. The books are helping...basically they say to think more positively, meditate, exersize. I am taking time for myself. Read something inspiring or get audio books to listen to. Talk to someone. Then move on with life and give yourself credit every day for doing something for yourself. Don't let depression ruin your life. Depression is a liar and usually there are some thought patterns that keeping you from being happy. Thoughts that cause depression are usually distored views of yourself or your problems. Also, with problems.. plan, decide and act. If you have too much indecision..it will cause a lot of anxiety. You will feel better when you make a plan and stick to it. Good luck , hang in there!

You already are. You are looking for advice, which shows hope.......hope is definitely a positive state of mind.
You can continue it along by doing positve things....get outside, play with your dog, go to the park and watch the
kids play, dance, wear your favorite colors......do the things that have always given you pleasure.
A trick is to write down your problems , one to a piece of paper and put them in a box. Pull out one a at a time. Do not pull out another until you have resolved the first.
Or if the situation calls for it, write out all the pain or whatever, and then burn it..pour it all out...all the tears , the bad thoughts , the pain, and burn them.
Journal everyday. You will get so bored with what you read, after a time, you will pop out from under.
Make a list of every rotten problem or thought you have....then turn each negatve into three postives.
any of these things help., or mix and match, depending on your state of mind at the moment. One thing is necessary...........when you brush your teeth every morning, say..."I love you " into the mirror and laugh 5 times. This may feel difficult or strange, but force yourself.you are already on your way.....walk the walk.
to a totally happy and positive outlook...go for it!!

Everybody gets depressed from time to time, it is whether you decide to wallow in your depression is going to determine whether you will ever think positive again. Try to think of one good think and meditate on that, eat right, exercise and if that is not helping, go to the doctor and gets some meds, their are alot of anti-depressants on the market that would be able to help as well

Yes absolutely, though you cannot force the moment when it will happen. In the meantime, try to take care of a few housekeeping or minor chores you might have neglected and go for a brisk walk. You should feel better and I hope you do very soon.

Look around you, and notice every positive thing during your day. Keep a gratitude journal of these things, and add to it each day. Include small things, such as the good flavor of your food, and how refreshing a glass of cold water tastes on a warm day; as well as larger things such as the kindness of other people.
The more you focus on positive things, and on helping other people, the more joy you will feel. Best wishes to you.

What are the problems. I have problems we all have problems we all get depressed. We get a grip we solve our problems and then we go out and cause more problems so we can all be depressed again and if we cant cause any more problems for ourselves we let the government do it that's what we employ them for

Of course you can! You have to purpose to do it! Just get around positive people and let the energy they generate rub off on you! Before you know it, you'll speak positively and have a positive outlook on life. Just do it!
