I dont think my original tat artist did a good job and I am afraid of him messing it up even more, what should I do?

you really need to wait at least 4 to 6 weeks so that the skin can heal otherwise getting it retouched will chop up the tattoo too much and make it look worse ...also its hard to really see how it will end up if it hasn't healed properly yet...as for deciding if you will go back to the same guy or to a new one that is something only you can decide.....but a second opinion cant hurt but just be aware of the fact that most tattooists will want a new customer so they will say that yes they can make it look better even if they can't...

You can go back to him or you can go to someone else it's your choice. I like to see some of the persons work before I'd let them work on me.I just like to see the delicate work they can do. But your original guy may cut you a deal, call him and nicely explain that is wrong with your tat, alot of the artists don't want unhappy people walking around. It's bad advertising. It won't hurt to just call and discuss it. He may offer to fix for free.

when the scab heals you can get more done, maybe 3 weeks or so, alittle less if you heal quick. try to look at the next artists original work, not just what they pulled off the wall.
