Our dreams certainly "do" have meaning. There are many kinds of dreams, from everyday "working through certain issues from your life dreams" to "prophetic" dreams, which is your intuition at work. You can forget something during your waking hours (even for years), and ask that you remember it in your "dream state" and alot of the times, you will, these dreams help us to retrieve information. Dreams are real, they are just lived or re-lived through our souls being in another conciousness. They (dreams), as a rule, are very important. Sometimes we have the fun, every day dreams, these can happen because we actually need to have "fun" put back into our lives on some level and "lack" the carefree feeling of a childhood gone by/or one that was never truly there. There are also "fear" or "anxiety" dreams, which sometimes seem like premonition dreams, but are really stress related, for instance, you are worrying about a big test in school, so you dream that you fail the test. There are also re-occuring dreams, which are quite significant to the dreamer. I
I would ask of you and your dream, if I were to help you analyze it.
#1. how did you feel during the dream and upon awaking from the dream?
#2. do you remember the name on the gravestone now?
don't forget that life sometimes repeats itself, space and time, and you seem to be experiencing these things, also, is there anyone who may be ill in your family or are you expecting someone new to come into your family? A graveyard sometimes represents a doorway to another realm, as a door in a home being opened would represent going from one room to the next...................do you plan on moving or have you moved recently........
there are alot of questions to ask when analysing someones dream (helping them to). It's great when you can sit down with them and get all of the information from the person in front of you, this way, you can also pick up any intuitive information as well.

Sure dreams have meaning to the dreamer always and sometimes are a sort of prophecy. I dreamed I was in an earthquake and when I woke up the tsunami in Asia had taken place back in December 2004. I dream things continually that tell me things I need to know in life. And then last night I don't know what my dream was all about. But many times when that happens, sometime during my day the meaning will come to me from something someone says to me, a newspaper headline, etc.

Yes, they do mean things. Most of them reflects our subconscious mind, but they may be triggered by media effect, (movie, tv,news ) actual events. Then those dreams will be just like recorder, playing it back at night at our dream stage.
In your case, dreaming of grave could mean something you don't want to leave behind. Grave could symbolize give up. It depends on the detail of your dreams.
There are some dreams which are prophetic. However, not too many people are experience that kind of dreams.

Oh yes they do have meaning, our priest normally lays our dreams out for us, but sometimes our dreams are not our own, sometimes they are dreamed by you and belong to let's say your sister, but only a priest can actually tell you what your dreams mean. Sometimes they are dreams belonging to us that is still going to happen or of something bothering us or someone close to us. But dreams aren't what they seem. They tell us in a round about fashion what it is we must or mustn't do. Are you sure you are not psychic because it sounds like you can sort of predict the future. You mustn't be scared of this as I think you have a gift.

Dreams in many cases are indication of what is happening in the realm of the spirit about a person, or a thing. It could be for the present, past or the future.
In many cases, it is a reflection of ones thoughts before going to bed. At times it could be meaningless when one has some anxiety over an ailment.

Freud did and made a big deal about their meaning, but he has been discredited in that area. For the most part we do not remember dreams unless they happen to coincide with real life.

It is your subconscious that is working during the period of your dreams. Dreams , perhaps, help us to cope with real life situations. Your worst fears will be played out during the dream. Later, you would be better equipped to face the situation.
