How to find out Indian Train/Bus travel fares?

I want to know this information for estimating the cost for providing compensation to the Outstation candidates coming for interview in Pune.

You need to know the distance and class of travel to find out railway fare.In railway time table there is a fare table which shows fare for all classes for various distance clabs. Alternatively you can find out from indianrail.gov.in. Bus fares change from operator to operator, and depend whether the bus is a Deluxe/AC/ ordinary/Sleeper.

If you purchase any timetable of Indian railway, it gives out fare for different classes - kilometre-wise.. Accordingly you can repay.

You can find them in the web site www.indianrail.gov.in
The route , time of arrival, time of departure, fare, distance between stations etc.
For buses you have to enquire. I have no idea whether they have wesite or not.
