Yes, all that attention and dressing up , pageants and such, like they are 18 is just wrong.
Pedophile paradise.
I wish we could hear her brothers take on what happened. Was Mom protecting him?

I feel sorry for the child. Wondering why the parents are going to the absolute extreme to live out their dreams through the child. The child can be beautiful and graceful without the makeup and adult clothing. They are children for Christ's sake. I am sure they have beautiful skin underneath the makeup. What does that make the child ultimately feel about themselves. Little girls love to play makeup and dressup, but it should not be a natural thing. They do not need the added and unwanted attention.

But that is society---high society today.

I hate to say it about the JonBenet murder, but I do believe that contributed to it. We can't escape the fact that there are sick people in this world. Her exposure was no different than any other celebrities/beauty queens exposure. She attracted fans.

If it is the child playing, then it's just child's play. All kids do that and it's part of growing up.

If the parents are doing it to their child on a regular basis, I have serious questions about the parents. Kids should be kids and not some tarted-up faux adults -- I don't care how beautiful the child is. A kid who gets the full makeup treatment from her parents will get a warped impression of what life is about. Life is not only about appearance... it is also about accomplishment and honesty.

That she is being forced to miss her childhood..she will grow up too fast as it is.

Now..if she is dressed for some kind of contest..it is expected. But I have never agreed that little ones should be forced into such contest because of the stress and free time it takes from just being a kid and playing.

I think of parents pushing their daughter,to be like her mom or be a perfect little model. That is so sad about Jonbenet!

Disturbing. However, I'm not so sure that it would turn someone into a paedophile who wasn't inclined that way already. For normal people, children aren't sexually attractive no matter how much you dress them up, simply because they don't have the adult characteristics that makes adults sexually attractive.

My impression is the parents need their butts kicking... Definitely she was displayed in a manner that is a magnet for perverted creeps. Besides any of that it is wrong to teach a child that looks mean everything.

Someones been playing in mum's clothing drawers! I'm glad that little girls killer was finally found. I think the fact that her parents had her out there in those beauty show thingies, was asking for trouble. I would never expose my kids like that. I feel bad for her folks though. No-one deserves that to happen to their child.

well i think the mom is letting her child grow up to fast and if you let her were make-up that young when she grows up she will feel ugly. and when little girlls are dressed like adults the parent are taking away there childhood and boys will be attracted to her so you might need to teach her about it sooner

That parent is going to have trouble with their child wanting to grow up long before she is ready mentally and physically.
