I totally understand. Feeling the baby gives every mother a sense of comfort. I know that many babies are much more active at one time of the day and sleep the majority of the rest of the time. If you are really worried I would drink something with some sugar or caffeine in it and lay down to feel the baby. I have noticed that I don't feel my babies as well now because I am getting more use to feeling the kicks throughout the day so it is easier to miss them, but if you are laying down I would say you could pay attention to your boy better. If you can't get 10 kick counts within a 2 hr period then definately talk to your doctor about. It also may be that the placenta has grown and is now covering a part of your stomach where you use to feel him which would make it harder to feel where he is kicking.
If your obgyn is hard to get ahold of I would find someone else this early in the game. You should be able to call, leave a message and he should be able to talk or call you back within 1/2 an hour. Practices with more than one doctor are a blessing because it is rare when one of the doctor's won't be able to talk to you.
Good Luck, but I am sure your little boy is fine!

by you being 24 weeks then yes its normal. I'm 32 1/2 weeks and it was also like that for me when i was around your weeks. i also had certain days that i wouldn't feel the baby move as much as i would on other days. Sundays were usually the days i didn't feel her kicking as much. but i wouldn't worry as much about it as long as the baby IS kicking some throughout the day.the baby is fine. if your worried i would ask your obgyn but it'll be OK until you get ahold of them.i was also very nervous about not feeling her kick as much, and thats normal. your baby is fine though. when you become farther in months you'll feel the baby move and kick more often.

If you're really worried, try drinking a glass of OJ. That always caused alot of kicking within 30 minutes. At 24 weeks, it isn't as noticeable when your baby is moving than at say 30 weeks. Also, are you moving around alot during the day? The motion of walking around actually lulls your baby to sleep.
Also, try asking to talk to a nurse.

If you're really active (you walk around a lot, sit down then stand up a lot, etc) then I'd say it's pretty normal to not feel the kicking for an extended period of time. The motion is rocking the baby to sleep so... if you're active... it's normal. For a fairly inactive person, I'm not sure... I'd contact your doc whenever you can but don't panic.

I wouldn't leave it anymore than 18 hours without feeling anything. If you can't get hold of your midwife then call your nearest maternity unit and they will probably give you a couple of things to try....oh I was told to try a glass of cold water once when it happened to me. If your not sure say you want a trace and go and get one done, the little joy will be fast asleep that's all....don't panic. Good luck.

yes, its sleeping. When you get worried, have a glass of milk and lay down on your left side. The milk and you laying still will get the baby awake, and laying on your left side will make it easier for you to feel the movement. Its fine.
