After 9/11 attacks, the US chose to revenge. Even without any proof, it attacked Afghanistan and killed innocent people including children, women & aged.

If the same logic is applied to Lebanon where innocent people were killed and children burnt alive in their own houses by the US & Israel, what will happen? The father who lost his son, the son who lost his father, the husband who lost his wife---if these innocent people decide to take revenge (just like the US did after 9/11), what will happen?

History has proved many times over that military actions cannot defeat an ideology, on the contrary, it usually enforces it and creates more support for such an ideology.

The so called "ideology of hate" is much more complicated than what the media is trying to convince the American public it is all about. Those people do not hate America because we are infidels or because of our democratic way of life, they are tired of being oppressed for a very long time and need to blame somebody for their misery.

The fact that our government had been supporting the dictators of the Middle East is what made us the target of those radical groups. The only way to end this ideology of hate is for for us to stop supporting the oppressive governments of the Middle East and to stop taking the side of Israel all the times while claiming that we are playing the role of an honest peace broker.

Help the Palestinians gain their country back, force Israel to give back occupied land to Syria, Lebanon and to the Palestinians, stop supporting dictators such as, the Saudi family, the Jordanian royal family, the Egyptian president, the Moroccan king...etc. Let us try that for a change and I guarantee you that we will never hear of such groups ever again.

Actually, the violence in Ireland was reduced significantly when Tony Blair was elected. In spite of the criticism, Tony Blair has been a big supporter of US policies. Unfortunately, that put him standing next to George W. Bush. Under different circumstances, Tony Blair would be a hero. But has shown incredible strength and courage.

Oh good grief! Terrorists have been fighting for their beliefs forever. Bush and Blair are simply the first country leaders with the guts to face terrorism head on and try to do something about it to protect both countries. Like anything else that has been going for the eons, once brought into the open, seems like a new problem and the people with the courage to face it are blamed for its existance.

Your question has no foundation in fact.

Those who are the extremists that comprise the terrorists have always been there preaching against the West. The difference is that they are more transparent than in the past. This is because they are encouraged by some western countries (such as France), much of the news media, and some misguided individuals such as Michael Moore. So, they are increasingly noticeable.

True , but that was inevitable as after 9/11 there were 2 roads to go down , the first was use world opinion against al-qeada until it had nowhere to run or the second was to pour petrol on it and watch the world of terrorism ignite , Bush chose the second. Bin Laden hit the jackpot when George ' the texan cowboy ' Bush came into power

DISAGREE - "WE" havent created anything. The majority or terrorists have been in the middle east for centuries. Ten/twenty years ago, the terrorists pretty much kept to their own causes in their part of the world.

Since the uprising and US political involvemnt in this part of the world, we now hear more and more about terrorist acticvities than ever before. The terrorists have been there for many years we are just more involved with them now.

That was to be expected from the beginning. It is ignorant to think otherwise. Many Muslims were on the fence prior to our invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq. The majority wish to pray in peace and wish to be free to do so. This is not about today or tomorrow. It is about what the world will be like 20 years from now and preventing nuclear Jihad which is inevitable if we don't stop the intentions of extremist to destroy Israel. Disarm Israel and you will have another Holocaust. Disarm Terrorist regimes and you will have peace.
Put that in your Humanist peace pipe and smoke it.

There have always been terrorists! The difference between conservatives and liberals appears to be that conservatives understand that they are terrorists, liberals believe through their pinko colored glasses that terrorists are criminals, mis-understood and just need a big hug. Terrorists are created by their perceived success and and the lefts unwillingness for a strong response.

Oh yes. How else can Bush stay in power unless he can frighten people into showing the new terrorists he has created? Of course he does not tell them that? And Blair is his lapdog.
