Desire has no end, that is why the rich can never have enough money and we can never get enough of anything.

Or does desire have an end ??

It depends completely on the person.

If one has absolute goals in life, they can be achieved, and they'll be happy.

If they just say "to get rich", they'll ne'er be completely satiated.

Desire for salt has an end...there is a point where food becomes too salty...I think everything has a satiation point...think about money...if you had money...say the amount of the top 50 economies in the world...imagine what your life would be like? All reasonable people have limits on their desires...much of these limits are biological...the problem is when the desire does damage BEFORE the limit is reached...example..sugar causes cavities before your desire for sugar is sated. Attachment to desire can cause great damage...it is a good idea to always examine your desires to see if they are interfering with your life...

Desire is endless ,but there are degrees of Desire. After some time that desire might get less and less ,but it'll never end. No matter what you'll always have desire for something no matter how large or small the desire is.

Desire is endless. Being rich or not having enough of anything had little to do with desire, but more to do with our psychological need to show status through posessions and sometimes even the need to acquire things in order to block out negative feelings we have about other ereas of our lives. Desire is to do with desiring someone, and is not just a manifestation of physical lust, but also strongly linked to emotional wellbeing, feelng emotionally safe and stimulated, feeling appreciated and feeling valued. If all these things can be maintained, desire can last, but if they cannot, desire will eventually fade.

Contentment does not come easily, man's desires is ever increasing. One desire is fulfilled the next one occupies his mind. As Abraham Maslow puts it:
basic needs (food, shelter, clothing) when fulfilled, one longs for security needs. Then comes recognition and status and when this also is reached, the man wants to put his stamp in this world by fulfilling his self-actualistion need.

Desire lasts until we die. It has to be this way, otherwise we just give up when we got what we wanted. It's the drive that keeps us going. Unfortuately it makes rich people seem greedy, but that would be true of any of us in the same position.

Oh yes it would.

I think so, cause you will always desire to be better ( be it smarter, richer, better career, or what evr) than you have right now.
