One cannot give you advice when we have no idea what service plan you have. I have Verizon and when looking for a new phone I do a review search for the one that interests my lifestyle. I recently read reviews on the Razr from many different service plans and 8 out of 10 hated the Razr as it is so shoddily made and falls apart. If you have Verizon and your one year warrenty is up when the buttons pop off or the screen goes blank what will you do? Shell out the big bucks for another phone or borrow someones old outdated phone?
Do your homework! Check out the reviews on the internet and see what people are saying about a particular phone.

Depends what kind of sevice you have or want. I've had Cingular, T-Mobile, & Verizon. I like Verizon. Don't get a phone that is web ready, it's irritating to look and work from such a small screen. Pick your service then your phone.

Why buy one at all? Get one for free with a (typically 2-year) signup with a service provider. We have used Verizon, T-mobile, and are now on Cingular. (USA) Have changed plans as prices, plans, and our needs have changed.
