No..but you have to report your suspicion because that much money will screw up the books and will be enough to be looked into. If you stay quiet, it will appear as if you stole it. Simply go to your boss and recount what you think your error was. They will appreciate the time you save by the admission and will know what to do from there.

Well, I think there is no point saying you are an excellent employee... If it is your boss who say so, then you are indeed an excellent employee.

Depending on how the mistake was made, and how you have been rated or appraised by your boss, then there is call for worry... but in any case, you shd be worried.

Own up, and tell your boss... most bosses are quite forgiving...What is important is probably how you can appraise you boss how not to make the mistake again. By changing the processess? By getting a fool proof method to remind you to chk carefullly?

Relax... what is important is go to redeem from here... worry does not help.. cheer up, yah?

Is it a $100 company or a Billion dollar company?

The smaller the company the more I would worry. The best thing is to be honest that hey you made a mistake, admit it was your fault (don't blame it on anything) and they will most likely be fine with it. If not F' em.

Depends on what it means for the company. You focus on improving your skills and in correcting such errors in the future. In general terms, a $100 is not much of a problem.

Honesty will always be the best policy even if it gets you canned. A dollar here a dollar there and soon you are in ENRON country. Peace.
