I think a player may change for a while, but I don't think it will last. I have seen it too many times. Eventually, marriage and family will not be exciting enough.

It is possible for anybody to change, however I think that the only reason that this happens is because somebody grows up or they have experience enough to want to do it themselves. Getting married or having a baby is not a magic medicine that will turn a cheating scumbag into a respectable, honest faithful man. In fact, it could make a problem that already exsists into something a lot more damaging.

babies and weddings are not a band-aid or a distraction, they will not fix the problems that are there and it is dangerously naive to think that way

Yes, everyone can change. That is what makes us better people. Simply learning from our mistakes can change us in a good way. If the person wants to change then they will change if someone else wants that person to change it may be more difficult for the changes to stick. Also changes dont happen over night, I have seen people change into better people but it has taken them years. And sometimes the changes are so subtle that you cant see all the changes that are being made.

Yep. When I met my partner we were both 'players' and I was warned not to fall for him because he would 'break my heart'. Now 7 and a half years later we love each other more than ever and he is the only person I have ever been faithful too, no other man or woman even comes close.

They can change if they want to. Having kids or getting married is not going to have anything to do with them being a player. If they want to stray, they are still going to do it. It might even make them more inclined to do it if they are feeling content in their relationship.

No ... since when did getting married stop people playing around?

I think it's highly likely that it's a "genetic" thing and a ring on your finger or some smelly diapers ain't gonna change a thing!

They can mature on their own, but it's the rare person that can be changed by someone else. Marriage and kids settles most people down, but not all. Ask my ex-husband.

once a cheat, always a cheat. It is a habit that never goes away, regardless of the situation. It's an ego thing, the thrill of it, and a way to use an individual to satisfy his/her needs.

They only change if they want to change, most like to see what they can get away with
