I was thinking of physio as well as medication. Is there any alternative medicine treatment available and effective? His symptoms are tremors and difficulty in walking. He is 86 years old but still active.

There's a new treatment I saw on TV a few weeks ago whereby an implant is inserted which when passed by an external "thing" (sorry, not medical at all) will halt tremors in their tracks. I do unfortunately doubt that, given his age (it is expensive and invloves surgery) that he'd be given the green light to get it.

The Beeb have a bit below, and a link/adress to the Parkinson's Society.
