I completed my O lvls last yr, now i have the option of going to Trinity College in perth(1 year), then to Melbourne Uni to get my Mass Communications Degree(3years), OR Stay in singapore, get my Diploma in 3 yrs then jump straight to the final Year at Queenscove Uni. My dad is expanded his business, and i think he might need help. also, going over will strain my dad's budget, because he'll be sending my older sister as well. I'm not sure if i should go. Some advice please? The diploma costs S$3000, plus whatever the costs of the last year of Uni in queenscove. Going to perth will cost 20,000, for trinity college Only. NOt sure abt the cost of the degree though. On the other hand, i'll experience life outside of singapore, plus, i can support myself over there by working the odd job or too. please advise. THank you =)
my score for O lvls is 10 for eng+4subjects(L1R4) and 13 for eng+5 subs(L1R5).

I suggest going to Trinity. Does that mean that you will be going into Year 12 at Trinity College? In Australia, University students have the option of having the fees as an I.O.U. until they get a certain amount of salary (usually after leaving university. It may take a few years to reach this salary level). You should get a degree in Melbourne after that, because diplomas are considered a lower level compared to degrees. Melbourne University offers a wide range of options. You can buy chewing gum in Australia :=) and can't odd jobs be gotten in Singapore too? If you feel very close to your family, you should stay back in Singapore. If you have already moved away from home or are thinking of doing that soon, by all means go to Australia.

Trinity College is a good school - how do I know? I live in Perth. Good luck in your future - you'll need it. Do whatever you and your family think is best!

I assume tt your Diploma courses is from one of the recognised polytechnics in Singapore. Personally I think tt I will stay in Singapore to get my Diploma first afterall it is officially recognised in Singapore before I go oversea to pursue further studies. No doubt you can experience life outside Singapore but it would be better if you can get your future employer to sponsor you for tour degree course. Won't it be ideal?

Its good that you go overseas to see the cultures of other countries.

But as for work-wise, then in Spore will be best.

If your father is expanding his business in Spore, then i try to advise you to study whatever courses in Spore.

Reasons: during and after your study, you can understand the market in spore more. you can applied the necessary skills that you have learnt in local institution onto your business, whereas, skills that you learnt overseas might not have certain uses here.

Try thinking over again. No hurry. Education cant be forced, have a good choosing.
