I am from Holland. As the world faces terrorist threats in Germany and the UK at the moment, the war in Lebanon knows a fragile cease fire, the Dutch news reports on three sick sheep with blue tongue. The sheep have been reported to be seriously ill and farmers complain that there is an export ban to prevent further outbreak.
It shows enough. I am of the opinion that the Dutch news forecast is very much under censorship if you compare it with news reports on satellite. It's a shame. Belgium is our neighboring country and the even have a decent news with all the various topics without being in favor of some political parties or governments, if you know what I mean. I always notice that Israel and the US are our main topics if they have something to say and they call that the international community. Even CNN seems more objective in this regard, imagine that. At least with them you know where you stand. Ask a government official about it and he immediately seeks denial in his response nor responsibility.

Hello friend from UK,
I am from India. Important things happened to day in India:
1. Sehanai maestro Usta Bismillah Khan died at the age of 91 years. He was a Bharat Ratna awardee, highest award (civilian) in India.
2. A dam built during the last 40 years, was dedicated to the country by the President of India, in Karnataka.
3. Our cabinet of Ministers are meeting to concur on a bill, which if passed, allows back ward communities to have 27% reservation in the colleges of higher education.
4. The faithful continued to flock temples since Monday morning as word got around of idols of Hindu deities drinking milk, while scientists ascribed it to soaking of liquid by dry clay and some leaders on Monday asked people to use reason instead of going by superstition.
So much for today! Thank you.

Budapest, Hungary, and last night at the end of the St Stephens day celebrations (The Hungarian patron saint), things went horribly wrong when a storm blew up, with winds of 120Kph, driving rain and hail, trees blown. Hysteria is the only way I can describe it. Four people confirmed dead so far, 300 in hospital, 20 of them in a serious condition, others missing when a boat capsized in the Danube. Not a happy ending to a hitherto wonderful weekend.
