Way too much emphasis on thin.........no "real" woman is that thin.
Eating disorders plague these people. I wouldn't want to see anyone I know be involved with it.

I think there is a lot of exploitation out there in the glamour industry, you have these back street creeps who promise some poor gullible girl the world of fame, only for her to find out he was some creep who got his kicks from photographing the innocent of her, I guess if you find a proper agency who is really interested in the glamour side of modelling and not the exploitation side then basically I guess if that's what you want then OK, far too much emphasis is put on body size today though and that can be just as damaging as the creepy exploitation side of glamour, I don't think I could imagine anyone I know doing glamour modelling and if they did, well as long as it was all above board, done tastefully and legally without exploitation then OK.

I am a 16 y o girl. I don't have any sisters, but of course I do have a Mum.
I think any girl who gets into "glamour modelling" has been conned. There's nothing glamourous about taking your top off so guys can gawk at your ****. Please don't misunderstand me. I swim topless all the time in my pool, and have done so on many occasions with male friends. But I choose who gets to see me topless and when. When I decide to put my top on, the show is over. But if I was to allow someone to take my photo (which I never have and never will) then I would lose control over who sees me. And no amount of money is worth that.

Do you mean fashion models or glamour/porn models?
Fashion models are way too thin and the likes of Kate Moss is just a disgrace to humanity the way she has gone on in the public eye.
Glamour models are usually better built and though straight I can apreciate what they look like. On the moral side, I could not do what they do but if they can then its fine by me. If my sister did it (and she could) I think I would be madly curious and proud. If I found my mum had dome it I may worry a bit about my status.

I think it's all a bit tragic - Women want to be beautiful and attractive to men, yes. But I think this desire is best fulfilled within a loving, committed relationship - as in, the man you're with finding you irresistable. And then also it's nice if your male/ female friends find you an attractive person.
Beyond that, wanting strangers to lust over you is a desire blown out of proportion I think. It's playing into men's unrealistic fantasies - fantasies which can sometimes prevent them having an ordinary healthy relationship with a woman who isn't a glamour model...
If my mother or sister was involved in the industry, I wouldn't judge them for it, at all. But I'd feel uncomfortable that they were using their sexuality in that way - I'd think it was degrading to them even if they didn't see it like that.

Well, your article says it all: 'trials and tribulations of a young girl'
Shouldn't that girl focus on something more meaningful in her life that she could be well respected for? Not everybody ends up as Jordan, you know. Would you want to be remembered as the girl who got her t1ts out in a national newspaper? She should put all that energy and effort into something much more interesting. What's so wrong with getting and education these days? Is being a sex object for men the only thing that exists for youg girls now? Sad world we are in.

if any of the females in my family wanted to do glamour modelling, i would help them any way i could, i think it's good that they would have a job they enjoy, but if i did get worried about who they were working for i'd go with them to make sure they are safe.
it's not a job i would do, it is an industry that promotes skinny women as what every man wants, which leads healthy curvaceous gorgeous women to develop eating disorders.

Glamour models are so 70's! Haven't we moved on from that kind of thing? Surely no one "wants" to be a glamour model. Sorry, I think they're desperate for attention and sad. And I would be totally humiliated if a member of my family did that.

I am an outsider to the industry. I enjoy watching those girls shake those money makers of theirs as they bare it all even if that exposure is the ironic source of WHY some of them (the women) hate us men watching it.

I'm fine with it, some people are very blessed with a beautiful body
but if they are going to do nude modeling they should know that that will cost them any type of serious relationship.
