The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.
I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.
Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can. Here are some book titles that are relevant:
* How to Really Start Your Own Business, Fourth Edition by David E. Gumpert
* How to Really Create a Successful Business Plan: Step-by-Step Guide by David E. Gumpert
* What No One Ever Tells You about Starting Your Own Business: Real-Life Start-Up Advice from 101 Successful Entrepreneurs (What No One Ever Tells You About Starting Your Own Business) by Jan Norman
* Business Start-Up Kit by Steven D. Strauss
* Start Your Own Business (Entrepreneur Magazine's Start Up) by Rieva Lesonsky
There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

I would advise you to start with a small investment. There is no point over committing yourself hoping that you will make the money back.
2 Things that I am presently doing are:
1. Ebay. I sell ebooks, vouchers, etc and make a small profit. Seeing as i've only been doing this for 2 months I can't complain but my profits are increasing.
2. I use a program called Bring Your Buddy.
http://www.smalltownincome.com/simple.php?id=60942
We are a team of Network Marketers that help each other to increase our residual income. For once there is a program where members help each others and you benefit from other members success. It costs $10 a month and this is what you get:
The latest benefit is your own Cpanel Mini-Website so you can not only use it to promote with, but learn how to administer a web host before you spend money for your own.
Our team supplies a template to make it easy to get your first site up and running fast.
You get 15 professional grade autoresponders that are worth $39 to $69 a month if you get them somewhere else, but they are included as part of our package.
You get an ad tracker to keep tabs on what's working with anything you promote and do a little BYB bar ad underneath as a bonus.
You get an audio postcard system to email audio messages or include them on your website.
The biggest benefit is you get to showcase your talent and interest in others to build any other opportunity you want to support. This is huge and the tools are in your back office to carry it off. You can't buy an ezine ad that works that well for 10 bucks!
To suplement this we have a team forum to bounce ideas and support our buddies & weekly podcasts.
Send me a message if you want to discuss further or click the link above, fill in your details and you will receieve even more information from the founders.

Talk to the people @ SCORE (Service Core of Retired Executives). They're like small business counselors. Make an appointment with a professional in the field you're looking to follow. Also, check out the US Small Business Administration. Between those two sources you should get the most information.

Open to the idea of working from home for additional streams of income that you can create for yourself? Check out home-based businesses on line. There are many good ones out there. Rich Dad Poor Dad "Business School" by Robert Kiyosaki says it's the best way to become rich and find what you're looking for in life. They're all life changing and you just never know! Check them out with the Better Business Bureau as well! I got started at http://www.bedavis1.mywayout.net/ ! If you like what you see, you fill out the form for more information. Check them all out and find what you think you'd really like!
Good Luck!

You must have a good business plan. Have the finances to follow through and keep the business running for at least a year. And like what you are doing

I have recently started in this program and I think that it is a great opportunity that has benefits along with it. The site is WWW.MY.WS. When you go to it you will be prompted to enter a user ID. The user ID is
jjw2501. Email me and let me know what you thought of it, or if you have any questions.
