Actually the word 'islam' has the meaning of peace and harmony in it. The Arabic word 'Islam' simply means 'submission', and derives from a word meaning 'peace' which is salam and you can see that salam is a root of i 'slam.' Islam does not teach the killing and suppression of nonmuslims, if you read its book- the Quran, its main goal is to teach- A soul at rest’ (89:27), so a state of peace in the soul. There you go again, there is its main message of peace and its reference to the soul means it's a religion not a monarchy which is politics. And finally the Quran tells Muslims to obey the Judeo-Christian scripture so Muslims are also accountable to the 10 Commandments, and that includes their "Thou Shalt Not Kill" command.

Who told you that Islam teaches that all nonmuslim should be killed...??? i`ll suggest you to learn more about Islam... there`s not any concept of killing in islam... according to islam "One Who Kill A Single Human Being, Kills All Humanity... And One Who Save The Life Of Single Human Being, Saves The Life Of All The Humanity"...... You Must Learn

Hmmm...I don't usually try to answer questions like yours because i don't think you are really interested in the answer as much as you are interested in making some false claims. However, in order to give you the benefit of the doubt i will try to make a small point.
There are 1.5 BILLION Muslims on this planet, that would be one fifth of the population of the world.
Don't you think that if their faith teaches them to kill all NON MUSLIMS there would be massacres of hundreds of thousands of people non stop for centuries now?????
Why do you think that their faith teaches them to kill non muslims? If their faith is such a militaristic and murderous faith, why is the biggest growing faith in the world? Why does it attract the most converts to it from all religions and backgrounds?

As the Prophet (PBUH) said, that a killer of an innocent is a killer of humanity.
For those who are commiting cruelties in the name of Allah, are responsible for the bad image of Islam today.

It is a religion that strives for dominance over other faiths, very much like the catholic faith did from it's rise to dominance until a few centuries ago.

It says only attack if Muslims are attacked. Hardly a non-peaceful religion. Yet it should be their right to free religious practice as mine is Christianity. Let them be in peace and squash the extremists.
