There might be two reasons for this:
1> If there are Firewalls preventing access to Yahoo Messenger, you need to contact your Administrator.
2> In Yahoo M, goto
Messenger Menu, Select "Preference ", In that Select "Connection" -> there you will find four options like
"no proxies" , "use proxies", "no network detection", etc.
Try Accessing using diffrent option. One of these Options might work.
