It is an institution where the male and female have a legitimate relationship. You can have many lovers or call girls, who will be around you till they have money. But it is the marriage that makes them to be with other when you are in depression, sick and some similar things. It is a binding that you take the oath , that you protect each other

i have asked that my self. alot of people do it to express thier feelings further for each other, i think its something that really needs thought and preperation.seems like all the real reasons to marry went out the window once they came up wtih divorce now people just do it for something to do, some rush to do it just so they can say they have been married but i think it is a very sacred thing and should be treated as such!

MARRIAGE IS A CREATION OF GOD IF YOU DON'T HAVE FAITH OR BELIEVE THEN NOTHING I COULD SAY WILL MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE MARRIAGE IS SO TWO PEOPLE WILL STAY TOGETHER NO MATTER WHAT AND THAT THEY WILL RAISE THEIR KIDS TOGETHER KIDS NEED BOTH PARENTS ON THE SAME WAVE LENGTH YOU SEE HOW THINGS ARE GOING IN THIS WORLD AND ONE REASON IS THAT PARENTS DO NOT STAY TOGETHER AND THE KIDS SUFFER THE BEST THING A FATHER CAN DO FOR HIS CHILDREN IS LOVE THEIR MOTHER AND BELIEVE IN GOD AND TEACH THEIR CHILDREN AND GO TO CHURCH IT IS NOT FOOL PROOF BUT IT IS A BETTER START

Marriage should make both partners "feel safe".
How can one "feel safe" by merely living together? Both are free to leave at the drop of a hat.
RE: Marriage partners are "supposed" to feel safe.
Without that, from the beginning, marriage is doomed to fail.

to bind themselves together, thinking that like this it's less likely that either partner will cheat. Also for legal reasons. Being married can help when it comes to income and propert etc.
