I agree. This has possibly resulted from the feminist movement? I have seen many wives DIS respect their husbands in public. The reverse is also true. But men are supposed to be the head of the household- not the other way around. Single Moms who bear the role of both parents are to be commended for carrying this load alone. Woe to the men who let their wives run over them and rule the home. I feel sorry for them.
Respecting men does not mean you are weak. In fact, the more respect you give, the more you will get back. Try it.

I have respect for anyone who EARNS that respect. The African American race is a maternal society and the women rule. That can cause some lack of respect toward the men.

A woman doesnt have to respect every man just for the simple fact that he is a male. People in general should show courtesy and respect to each other. Until the other person proves they are unworthy of your respect.
I dont believe that people should earn respect... I think they should have it till they give good reason not to.
Sorta like proven innocent until guilty.~

You may be in an environment that attracts a high proportion of lazy or unethical men. Men with these attributes are difficult to respect. Men who are industrious, hard-working and commited to doing the right thing radiate that aura that draws out respect from those who know and/or encounter them.

I'll have to admit that there are alot of men that I don't respect (and they don't deserve respect either). I do hold my man in the highest respect. He's one in a million.

in terms of what are you talking about? I see many people who dont respect themselves never mind other people. I see many many men who do not respect women in my country, In fact I see a whole lot more women who dote on the men around them than men who dote on the women around them.

Firstly women who don't have any self respect cannot even begin to respect others, male or female. Secondly respect has to be earnt.

Respect is a 2 way street. I don't respect anyone (male OR female) if they don't respect me.
