I've got Plextor PX-712A DVD Rewriter and was working fine until recently. The problem I have it that the device reads and writes CD's and DVD's fine but has only problem reading and writing CD-RW's. The thing just wont read and just keep blinking over and over.
It writes fine bot DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW and CD-R's as well but when it comes to CD-RW it just wont read. Please help me because my warranty on the product just expired a few weeks back.

Thanks guys for your entusiasm. I've got the latest firmware updates but nothing there. Looked around if somebody had similar problem its like I'm the only one...
Sorry but any real harware guys out there?

look on their homepage if there is any firmware update.. or search looking if somebody else had that problem..

maybe bec0z it's only for DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW and CD-R...
and u also mentioned that u got plextor PX-712A DVDRW... it says that it only writes for DVD RW....
dunno...
