Hi sounds to me you have stretched your muscle in you upper thigh. You cannot tear your muscle its not that easy and if you did you would soon know about and be in terrible pain for a long time. You need to rest for a few days,if no better go see your gp where he will examine you and give you med if you still need them. You can also try getting a support for your thigh, they sell them in chemists or boots.

Have you tried getting some ultrasound treatment?

What happens when you tear a muscle is that it starts to bleed inside. Then the blood clots and becomes all hard. This can cause pain when using that muscle, until it is fixed.

Ultrasound treatment breaks up the dried hard blood, and makes it feel slightly better.

You need to rest it though, and elevate it (put your feet up). Try an ice pack around it to help the blood congele, and also if you put some pressure around the area it should also help with the healing process. (eg. a bandage or a pair of tight elastic shorts).

I also try using these muscle rub ointments which relieve pain in aching joints and muscles. I find they are only really effective when you want to warm up at the start of the day when you have been resting.

It says if symptoms persist consult your doctor on the instructions. However, if you know what the problem is why consult someone?

ouch! I dont think of there is something you're able to do to heal it greater as we communicate, in basic terms stuff to make it injury rather much less. I hate to declare it even though it appears like a undesirable theory which you will do some thing very strenous until eventually it has healed. you may see a dr. one ingredient that facilitates my muscle soreness is theragesic cream. Have that massaged into your legs... oh its super! in case you cant locate it use some icy warm. Take some heat baths in epson salts. proceed to stretch each and every as quickly as in awhile so your legs dont get stiff, yet dont over do it.

You have probably slept awkward, a torn thigh muscle would be extremely painful and would most certainly balloon. If it gets worse get checked for Gilroys groin at your gp.

you cant walk if you tear the muscle! it is a huge muscle and if it was torn you wouldnt even be able to stand up.

its more likely that you have either pulled your muscle or over streched it in some excercise.

make sure you do daily stretches to lengthen your muscles and stop them from pulling. yoga helps with this.

You can't work. Also, if the tear is near the surface, you may see bruising.
