Intitially when they see me they show a lot of interest. But when I stutter a bit they get turned off. Is there any girl who can understand me. I am normal otherwise.

we all have things that make us far from the perfect others first see us as, but in all honesty, if these girls couldn't get past your ONE fault, trust me you are better off without them as they sound too particular.

i on the other hand have many faults and i'm still searching... i'm 24 with false teeth through no fault of my own but genetics and two children, they're my major hurdles! other than that i want what everyone else wants..... easy no frills and no fuss companionship. good luck to us all i say xoxo

Baby, it mightnt be because of a stutter at all. This may sound crazy, but it sounds like one of two things.
a) A chip on your shoulder because of your stutter, making you unhappy or nervous when talking, or,
b) because you may be trying to impress girls too much with your good looks and intelligence.

Try asking her about her interests, and see what else you can ask her! Girls love talking about themselves to a guy who'll listen, so I guarantee that if you listen well, your popularity will soar. Then next time you see the girl, you can ask her about whatever it was she told you the time before - you have an excuse to go and chat with her! :)

xo Honey.

It wouldn't bother me, but I'm married and probably too old anyway... maybe you could go to some kind of speech therapy to help you get over it?

You don't stutter on the net, so maybe you could get to know a nice girl on there that doesn't run when you explain your problem, then you will be able to get to know each other before you meet in person without the problem getting in the way initially?

Check out the web site for the Stuttering Foundation of America. Click on "teen" on the left side of the page for some information. Click on "Brochures for All Ages" and print out the brochure "How to React When Speaking with Someone Who Stutters." Educating others about stuttering and helping them help you will put them at ease. Your telling them right away that you stutter and giving them some information, such as the fact sheet on the brochure web page, so they learn about it will put you at ease. All of this will help you develop a good relationship with people. If someone doesn't like it, that is their problem not yours! You will know when the right person for you comes along and she won't care that you stutter.

You are 'smart intelligent and good looking' and wonder why you can't date a girl. You forgot to include that you are 'modest'. Perhaps it is more what you say than the way you say it. Especially if you come across as you have in this question as thinking you are God's gift to women.

Not to worry, someone will be interested, you just havn't met her yet, keep looking, or she'll find you. Either way, just be yourself, she will accept you, just the way you are...yourself, and yeah that's pretty normal to me.
