Why is mental heath thought of differently than physical health? Everybody could do better.

It's only by admitting that you can use some improvement, and work on it does a person improve. Most people claim that there's nothing wrong and therefore, never examine themselves or try to improve mentally. People who have been diagnosed are at least aware of where they need work.

For the woman with "mild" depression: I've had it my whole adult life, and only recently have been dealing with it well. Check out this link: http://www.mcmanweb.com/dysthymia.htm

I was diagnosed with "mild depression" - I didn't think it was "mild" though - I felt like my life was over at the time!!!

My ex was also "Anger disorder"

And I self-diagnosed myself as "binge alcoholic" - so I stopped doing it.

Over the depression now, too, I'm glad my life wasn't over, 'cos now I have a wonderful bf and a lovely son!
