I want to use a Dail Up connection to connect the internet. But moden supports only 56kbps of speed, which is too slow to surf.
Downloading also takes more time.
So, can anybody tell me how can I surf with a greater speed. Can I purchase a good modem with greater speed or what else can I do ..........

I used to use a modem that is that slow too. But my parents changed it to broadband and it alot faster. If you dont want to change your internet connection, you could try by deleting unwanted history and files so your computer doesnt need to load for a long time and maybe the page will load faster too. Instead of internet explorer, you can use Mozilla Firefox. I'm using Mozilla and the pages load faster and doesnt lag (or hang as some people say) as much.

1) Use Highest configuration PC
2) Take Internet connection with Fiber Optics cable.
3) Use Mozilla Browser instead of Internet Explorer.

Purchasing a good modem alone wont do any good, you also have to get good bandwidth which is given by ISPs. Also you should leve Internet Explorer and Use Mozilla Firefox. You will gain speed as well as functionality.

Go for a broadband or a triband connection. Make sure that you delete history and empty the cache often. If they are full they may reduce the surfing speed. And make sure your browser is good.
Good luck.

Modems max out at 56k but you there are services like Onspeed that can compress the data to get better performance (sometimes).]

Or get a broadband / DSL account instead... (better!).

Dial-Up is an ageing technology.
Choose ADSL,SHDSL,CABLE,OPTICAL FIBRE (depending on your budget)
A speed of 128kbps download/upload is minimum nowadays
Good luck
