Hi,
Getting married on 2nd week of sept. I don't know weather to go to sun beds 6 times or application tan by salon?
The applacation tan in this salon has less chemicals and I know the dangers of sun beds.
What do ya's think?
Thanks,
T.

Hi,
Think it looks like fake!
A local Spa does exfloiation and appliacation tan, as I have heard some spray on's can leave brown marks esp. around your fingers!
Maybe get trail first.
Thanks for taking time to answer.

Hi,
Think I will only go for light application tan.
Can I just add I am only asking a simple question and I don't deserve to be called a moron!
Thanks.

Yup, definitely go with fake tan, as long as its professional, maybe you could get a good deal on a wax too so you don't have to worry about shaving.

If you are new to sun beds, then depending on skin type you may not get the results you want from sunbed sessions, it takes a while to build up and over doing it would be awful.

Also, congratulations! I'm sure you'll look beautiful.

I wouldn't normally advocate sunbeds for all the obvious reasons that you already know but I think as a one-off the sunbed is a better option in this case.
Your tan will look more natural and even.
Some of these spray tans make you look like you've been Tangoed.
Also the fake tan may stain your dress.

If you go for the sunbed option start now for just a few minutes at a time and build up gradually.

All the best for your big day.

My niece used a new system that just came about a couple years ago where you go into a booth and it sprays you all at one time. They take extra precautions with things like your hair, eyebrows, hands & feet. My niece has dark brown hair and after her experience, she was so satisfied that she uses it now when she has special occasions coming up. Check and see if there might be somewhere in your area that does this. You still have some time to check out the different procedures and make a judgement for yourself. I personally have never used it, but she always looks like a million bucks....without costing a million bucks! There is a product on the market called Fake Bake that another friend uses and really looks nice. Have a beautiful wedding and my God bless your marriage. Connie

Fake tan is a better option for the long term but if you are getting married soon you do not want to risk having streaks on your wedding day. Also if you are wearing white some tans can transfer a little on to clothing especially if you perspire. Even spray tans can give you streaks especially around the foot area. If it were me i would use the sunbed on this occasion. Exfoliate before you go on and moisturise afterward. It's a special occasion and it's not going to do you any harm just for that. P.S:- Send me a nice piece of wedding cake!

To do the sun bed once in a lifetime for your wedding won't make you wrinkled either, just don't overdo it, and you will be fine. It is better than the fake tan as you will feel naturally tanned rather than as if wearing a second skin! Don't do sunbeds more than once a year, better less than that; and don't exceed the timings indicated in the tanning salon, plus don't exceed the number of sessions above 15.

Be careful on which one you choose, I knew some women that had the salon application and they turned orange. You still have time to get a little sun before your wedding date, so why don't you do it that way, a little sun as many days as you can and be your naturally beautiful glowing self? My niece used to do tanning rays at the salon and she looks older than what she should. A little glow on you is better than a dark tan any day. Oh, Congradulations on your Wedding Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depending on your skin tone you may not get much of a result with 6 sessions on the beds. I think you would be better opting for the spray tan, the sun junkie is the best you can get with the best colour as you can have it lighter or darker to match your own skin tone as you don't want to look like you have been tangoed on your wedding pics. Good luck..

if you are a white girl like me and do not like streaks(like bottled tans or sprayed tans that come off and you look blotchy if you do not maintain them2 times a week)go to a tanning bed,the better ones ( where you lay on a cushion and have a timer next to you to let you know to turn over on your belly)
Ask the Customer Service lady or man how long you should start out in these new super strong beds....Go 4 days a week til you have a base tan, than however long you want to go after that ( especially "if" you are going somewhere tropical, you will want a nice base tan too build from...I do this every time we go to St,Thomas,Florida, or Hawaii..so i won't burn the first day out and ruin our romantic beach holiday.Buy a promotional package of visits (like 12 sessions because these new beds go for anywhere between $10.00-$15.00 dollars a session. at least if you buy 12 sessions ,the salon will come down each visit, and have them include a good bottle of tanning bed lotion to go with it.You will not be sorry.( have all your bridesmaids and maid of honor go with you to tan ,the more wanting to tan ,the cheaper it will be....Also shower immediately and put tons of lotion and moisturizer all over your body so you don't peel..You will look beautiful at your wedding and on your honeymoon, people will be sooooooooo jealous of you.the best of luck to you and best wishes on your new marriage.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

Misinformed fools like you are the new disease of our modern times.

Sun bed and or REAL sun light:

Both are UV rays which DESTROY skin cells. It makes even skin go freckly and horrible and also ages the skin by a huge amount. This means that while younger, you might look nice, as soon as you hit your mid 30s, you are going to look horrible.

Fake tan:

Contains no harsh ingredients and looks as real as the real thing. It is very safe, and unlike UV rays, is very unlikely to give you skin cancer, you moron.

Morover, it means when you DO hit your mid 30s, you wont look like a dried out prune, which looks ridiculous.

NOT only that, but sun beds damage your skin in the same way as the sun, but gives you an ORANGE tan instead, which looks f*ckin horrendous. Skin whiter than f*ckin white looks more attractive, and thats saying something.

You know, there is a reason why the models of this world run a mile when it comes to the dumbass prospect of a sunbed, but dont run anywhere when someone mentions St Tropez.......

While a few years ago, fake tan looked, well... fake. Nowadays, there are some very, very good fake tans on the market that look excellent on most people and most skin types.

You moron. Oh and i wish you the best for your wedding.

Start using that tinted moisturiser now to gradually build a light tan. Remember you only need a very light colouring, as you're guaranteed that the other options will look orange. You really don't want to look at your wedding pics for the rest of your life thinking "Look how bloody orange I was - what was I thinking of?"
