If you know what virus it is, get the specific antidote and follow the instructions. I think you should run the antivirus in safemode and with your system restore, assuming you're using XP, off (you can turn it on again later). Forget about AVG (weak) and Norton (expensive). I reccomend Antivir (good and free).

hi, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.
i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
download firefox for free:

Virus scanners usually 'clean' files. I would recommend AVG or Norton Antivirus.

Hi,
Every computer needs to have:
One untiadware & spyware software and One Untivirus software.
If you don't get them. If you have a virus use McAfee to remove it. There are other software, but I use that one.
