it is definitely a social disorder. a person acts on how he/ she is affected by the people arround him/her. you can not pass homosexuality through the genes. and it's not like a gay guy can be pregnant. so even if it were passed through the genes , how could that be since gays like guys and not women?

Wow another retarded breeder. It's not a disorder period! It is called transexuality when a man or a woman wants to be the opposite gender NOT homosexuality! Hey I do not understand how YOU could think there is anything remotely attractive about ******* females. So what are you suffering from a social disorder or a genetic disorder?

I don't think it's a disorder.

I think that homosexuality is build in us all. This is the reason:

The urge of reproduction is very very strong in all of us. Since humans are and have been social animals there has been a lot of competition who gets to mate with whom. Obviously some don't get that chance, but they still have that energy and urge. Homosexuality was a way to channel that energy when heterosexuality was not possible.

Another reason I might think of was simply the strengthening of social ties among between the same sex. Sexuality is way to feel pleasure and experiencing this together with the members of your tribe would strengthen these ties.

So, I think homosexuality is natural behaviour of any social animal. I could say that we all are bi-sexuals. The negativity and taboos related to homosexuality are a product of our culture. And these reactions have varied through time.

Nature has empowered females to choose mates who are best compatible for the purpose of passing on the most effective immune system. It's done by sense of smell. By choosing males who have dissimilar immune systems, they pass on the benefits of two immune systems. This system competes well against the pathogens seeking to overwhelm us, which are also evolving. Females who mate with a male with a similar immune system are failing to compete. If this uncompetitive system becomes the norm, the pathogens will win. To prevent this, nature causes some of the progeny of these uncompetitive matings to become effectively sterile. I.E. Homosexual. In general, homosexuals do not produce progeny, thus don't pass on their parent's behavior. Females choose males with a similar immune system if they are already pregnant, or on the birth control pill, which mimics pregnancy to the body. As more civilizations become advanced to the point where females control their fertility with oral contraceptives, they will end up mated to men they met while on the pill, and when they decide to become pregnant, they will usually have his baby, with the uncompetitive immune system, which nature will deal with. So, ironically, homosexuality will save the world by crashing the population.

Beautifully posed question. It could be a social or a genetic disorder. Someone could be genetically predisposed to homosexuality because of genes that alter hormonal balance which could easily be corrected with medication. But where there is no genetic predisposition then we could say that it is a social disorder.

you've a level there, yet I nevertheless imagine it really is no longer a ailment. those with authentic subject matters (schizophrenia, autism, ADHD) have issues led to through their subject matters. we are helping them through acknowledging that they have got subject matters. we do not say to them 'you've a ailment.' yet we've particular ed for a reason. If we lived in a international comprehensive of folk who are not prejudice, gay/lesbianism/bisexuality would not be an issue in any respect in any way. yet even at the same time as human beings are not prejudice adversarial to those with authentic subject matters, their subject matters are nevertheless an issue. In different words, being gay basically hurts them because they get terrorized for it (each from time to time). I also consider the man who reported that gay absolutely everyone is born gay to regulate the inhabitants.

I believe that homosexuality is a choice. It's a way of life. Yes, it may well be genetic. I'm not saying that I'm all for it because I believe it goes against everything that god & nature intended. We are meant to engage in sexual intercourse for procreation purposes, but in today's society, sex is cheapened & perverted for pleasure rather than reproduction.

You assume that homosexuality is a disorder. Start by removing this assumption, because until you do, everything else you learn (about homosexuality) will be tainted by bias.
