My style constantly evolves, and I'm always embarassed by the previous look when I switch to a new one. I was a little hippie tomboy when I was a kid -that took care of the 70's. In the 80's I spent about half the decade wearing long skirts, insanely long strings of fake pearls, fingerless gloves and anything Molly Ringwald wore, then in about 1986 I went a bit nuts and had whole big shoulder pads and back-combed hair thing going on. Then it was sleek and sophisticated corporate for the 90's, at the end of which I engaged in a year-long, disastrous flirtation with oversized denim overalls and tank tops. This decade found me in "Wal-Mart chic", complete with several pairs of $10 fleece jogging pants and about thirty t-shirts in different colours. Catching myself in the downward spiral, I'm going back to college and adopting a more preppie look this year - comfy stylish pants, cardigans and expensive shoes. How I will pull this off without looking like my grandfather, I don't know. Maybe the cardigans could be pink ;-)
