I loved the movie. The cinematography is spectacular and made it really edgy. My favorite bits are the opening titles-the little things like putting raspberries on all of your fingers and pretending cherries were earrings brought back memories that were buried long ago. Oh the innocence!- and when she takes the blind man rushing through the street explaining everything to him. The whole film is very rich and lush. Such a feel-good film.

I agree with you, it was such a sweet movie. I loved it. What a pity there are not more movies like it. Sadly the movie bosses seem to cater more for guys and their blockbuster violence obsessed theme of war, drugs, fighting, fast cars and women. And they wonder why kids grow up violent. All very boring and mindless. We need more movies like Amelie, which are well written and have a more humane central theme.
