well yea but i think the creators behind these bollywood films which are said to be copied are malayalies. Tamilians do copy Malayalam and Hindi movies too, even malayali directors do hindi films with the stories which has been hit in malayalam movies eg: priyadarshan!, he directs his hindi movies all based on his/others malayalam films, which is in one way good to gain reputation but in other way it's laying back malayalam industry. Another fact is that bollywood is much more universal. people all over the world watch hindi films and musics so it has more publicity, whereas malayalam is a growing small industry when compared, it will take a while but we will surely succeed!!!!

It is good that bollywood is making Tamil and Malayalam movies in Hindi language too, so that all over India people can see good films which otherwise would not have been possible. We are all Indians, we should not look at this like a competition, but just a source of entertainment, from which all must get the best of it. North + South = INDIA.

Bollywood isn't copying anything. The word is" INSPIRATION". And i feel it is good. People here up north, who do not understand tamil and malayalam, can not enjoy these beautiful movies with such lovely subjects. Directors here are providing them with good south indian movies remaked in Hindi and letting people enjoy these movies who are deprived of it. As for the songs, you might not be following Mtv, Zee music, Zoom, etc, Chanel V.... the list is too long. These chanels now have exclusive south indian songs and movies countdown shows. And if you say bollywood is taking all the credit so i'd beg to differ. Nobody is taking any credits. People know wch movie has the original subject and which is inspired. Viewers are now smart and aware of the ongoings, though many people do not know how well the indian economy is doing but they are well informed about the movies. So please dont be annoyed and respect the feelings of fellow viewers. AMIT

The present idiot box gives all stereo typed TV serials. These serials are nothing but yester year movies carbon copy. So movies made like oldies don't do any business. Audience is mainly hifi and techie crowd. They like fast messages. No hanky panky lengthy dialogues. No sentiments, pathos. All cool. I like this trend though I am a "budda" Movies should be entertaining. Watch it and forget it. Those days there will be big posters to commemorate 100,150,175,200 days or even 2 to 3 years continuous shows. Now now the same trend for 1 week,10 days,2 weeks etc: Heroes and heroines come and go like co passengers in a train journey. Technical aspects like cinematography,choreography,music,record... stunts etc are all exemplary in Tamil movies. Even these technicians with a great acumen are in demand in Bollywood movies. Tamil and Telugu movies have latest state of the art technology. Hindi movies need these technicians from South to memorize Hindi belt audience. All Khans would have gone a long time back had they not made remake of block-busters of Tamil movies. What is the use of having 4-pack,6 pack,8 pack if they are not caught in the camera by a single pack cinematographer. So technicians play vital role and South is still dominating in every respect of a cinema. Hindi songs still beat around Tabela and Saxophone as these instruments have deep rooted influence in Hindi audience. But South they try out varieties.

i do agree with the Tollywood movies being copied, taking that there are around 10 times more Tamil movies than the Hindi ones. And the practically all topics and socio-economic topics have been covered.

But Kerala seems to produce more soft-core movies than main-stream ones. So that would not be taken at par with Bollywood movies.

The North Indian's seem to have a different taste and will never in their lifetime be able to understand the quality of the South Indian movies.

I agree that bollywood copies tamil and malayam movies. But hindi movies create a different magic and tamil movies create a different magic. But bollywood is far better in copying than kannada movies. Every hit in tamil film industry is copied by kannada film industry. But don't worry buddy...................! No one can ever steal the position of tamil industry's glory.
