The only sane answer to this question is, I would like to live for as long as I would like to live. That is, I would like to live for as long as my life was valuable to me.

One proviso to this is that I would not quickly make the decision to end my life (not unless it quickly became unbearable with no hope of recovery). Instead I would give the decision ample time and take advice from advisors who specialized in aiding such decisions. (Obviously I am speculating about some ideal state of affairs that may or may not come about in the future.)

I would not seek advice from any friends except perhaps those who I was sure had my best interests at heart - those whose advice would not be biased by their own interests.

I don't really know. As long as I was able to live the fullest already and help more to live their lives fully by being a propagater of love, I don't care when I die. As long as it is at the time when I feel fulfilled and ready to be with my dead loved ones again hopefully in heaven...

As long as my body and mind hold out. Long enough to see my children have grandchildren of their own. Long enough to see a woman take the presidency. Long enough to see a man decide to stay by my side forever. Long enough to watch the sun go down in Tahiti. Long enough to feel really tired and ready to go.
