ok my friends where pressing all the buttons on the key board at school and all of a sudden a whole bunch of red F's apeared on the screen more and more of them showed up then this big exclamation mark showed up on screen and the computer shut off
yeah what exactly happened

seems to me the computer couldn't handle all the love ur friends were giving it and when it had all it could take it shut off (lol)

The first thing to check before Having a meltdown would be if the computer boots up again.
Try to restart the pc.
IF this does not work,depending on the level of technical experience you have,you can reset the CMOS jumper on the motherboard and then try to re-boot.
I seriously doubt if the machine is completely wasted,have a technician look at it if no one has the technical experience to take a look.

What happened was your friends showed how immature they are by messing up a computer other people use... They should have to pay to replace it....
