start with a light-colored rose (white is good), cut the stem under running water and put in a vase of water with food coloring in it.

I think carnations might work better than roses.

Do you mean like adding food coloring to water and putting a rose in it? if so, then those are the steps. Pick a rose, chose the color you wish to enhance it with, add it to water and put the rose in the water and wait.

Science question? Well, get a light coloured rose,most preferably white. Then get ur colour dye or watever and pour it into a clear glass with water and mix. Untouch it for a day and u'll see the effect the next day or mayb two days after.

Cut at 45 degree angle and place in dye solution an wait and see. have fun doin it with different colors, just split the stalk into watever amount of dyes u want an itll come out multicolored!!
