i see the hatred in their eyes. they want us to think that we're smelly, that we're disgusting, that one choice makes us stupid, that we don't deserve to sit at the same bar or table with non-smokers, and that because we take cig breaks here and there we should have to work harder than the nonsmoker.

I like to mess with the vocal protesters. If I overhear someone complaining about my smoke I'll walk closer to them and make sure it blows right on em. Keep in mind that I do ask people around me if I'm indoors if they mind if I smoke. I don't smoke in a car if non-smokers are in it too. I am a very courteous smoker compared to many. But when I'm standing outside in the cold because that's the only place left that I can smoke and someone decides to complain out there too, that's when I've had enough and take the smoke to them and dare them to do something about it.

I got over the non-smokers comments ages ago! This issue will never be settled!

I am a smoker of cigarettes (and pot)! Facts:

1. Smokers do smell!
2. It is a disgusting habit!
3. Smokers are stupid - NO WE ARE NOT!
4. Non-smokers & smokers should be split in a bar to make everybody happy!
5. Cig breaks are nothing and they say that people who smoke generally work better than the non-smokers!

I smoke because i can, im addicted, i like it, im stressed and if you dont like it...DONT LOOK!

yah. we have to be condemned for a choice we make..i am pissed off too.

in singapore there's this new rule that you have to squeeze in one corner that screams SMOKING AREA before you can smoke. The first and only time i did so, at an outdoor mcdonald cafe, I felt like an outcast and goldfish (passerbys kept casting glances).

at our hawker centres or coffeeshops, only a few tables are allowed smoking. so what do one do? squeeze in with the old men (aka ah peks) who are strangers? maybe a guy wont mind but a lady??

as if the wind doesnt blow the smoke in all directions.

i almost only smoke at home now. oh yes, by next july all clubs will be banned smoking i think...no more clubbing for me......

Don't you know what is happening? Smokers are a laid back bunch who doesn't cause trouble or step on any body's toes, but the non-smokers are snotty, pushy, movers and shakers who want to have the world (their) way and guess what? They will win! (We) smokers won't do a thing about it at all will we?! Like I said we are a gentle, laid back bunch who doesn't want to ruffle any feathers nor get involved! I don't even fight anymore because I know (THEY) will win! I have to put up with filth in my neighborhood, trash in my yard, such as used condoms, dog poop, pop cans, shitty diapers, candy wrappers, beer cans and wine bottles as well as other peoples pollution, not to mention the crack heads, drug dealers, drug users, and prostitutes, now I have to hide ( my ) smoking! My little cigarette might offend someone or harm the masses! It's all fu**in bullshit!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. See what I mean? All those non smokers had snotty answers but the smokers didn't! I never smoke in any building, nor do I smoke around children, nor do I smoke in non smoking areas, and I am a very concientious, concerned smoker, but these non smokers are making it so we can't even smoke (outside or near any building)! Now I heard in some places, you can't smoke in your car or even in your own yard!!! Why are you all treating us like lepers? We are doing what you want! We are obaying the signs, we are staying away from the front of buildings, We no longer smoke in hospitals, restaurants or offices, what more do you want? You want us all dead and out of your sights don't you? Didn't Hitler try something like this once? Is this still America??????????????????????????????

I don't care if you smoke and I don't hate you for it...that is as long as you are not poisoning me with your smoke. It's not that you don't deserve to sit at the same table/bar as non-smokers, it's just that we don't deserve to be forced to second hand smoke when we want to be healthy.

Well i do look down to all smokers with all due respect. What's the point of buying useless papers filled with toxic stuff and then burn it and on the top of all that harm yourself and others around you. Negative somking is breathing in the smoke coming out of smokers. That's more dangerous than smoking the weed right away you know...

have u thought that it's because we're more affected by the smoke than the actual smokers. i have nothing against u myself, but i do have to say smokers really have a smell that really clings to their clothes and hair and body and all that.

I'm a non-smoker. Have you seen the effects it has on ur body? U R smelly because of the smoke smell, but i do NOT think that it makes u stupid, but low on selfesteem.

I really don't care if you smell, but I do care if you smell around my nose, causing me discomfort, or if smoke gets in my eyes, causing them to burn, or in my throat, ruining my voice for the evening, or in my clothes, making people think that I smoke too.

If I took as many breaks as some smokers in my company (as many as 10-15 per day), I'd be served with a written reprimand.

That whole cancer from second-hand smoke thing is a pain, too. Smoking is a great way to be sociable, it provides the best pickup line known to man (hey, got a light?). But when you get down to it, you're forcing me to breathe in concentrated air pollution. Screw that.

That one decision IS a stupid decision. Smokers generally DO smell horrible. You should NOT be allowed to smoke around non-smokers. It's one thing to kill yourself, it's another to kill everyone around you. Smoking does both.

Hey, here's an idea: Instead of complaining about people who don't like being killed, why not... Oh, I don't know... Try quitting?
